Technology

I did not know that there are more computers infected with adware/spyware programs more than a virus. I guess people just do not know the "symptoms" of such programs, and therefore, do not get them checked out. I guess a big part of the problem is lack of information, like the article mentioned. When there is a horrible virus that is being spread, you hear about it on the news. I have never heard anything about adware or spyware.

I was surprised to learn that "80 precent of systems" have been infected by spyware or adware. Also that "40 percent of those surveyed" have had "their Web browser's home page or search results being changed without their permission." I have had to deal with spyware and adware on my laptop. While I did not know that it was one of those programs, I knew that something was wrong, and that I should get my computer checked out. I can't imagine having something changed on my computer such as my home page, and not worry that someone had hacked into it.

Introduction

My name is Jessica. My hometown is Flowery Branch, Georgia. There are many farms there, including one that has an ostrich. Usually, the only people that have heard of my town are those from Hall County, or those that follow the Atlanta Falcons closely. Our claim to fame is that we have the Falcons' training center.
I am currently a second year, and my major is Early Childhood Education. When I finish here, I would like to be a Kindergarten teacher.
I love to travel, and would one day like to go to Europe. Yes, I want to be a teacher and travel. It will happen. For now, I vacation with my family. Our favorite place to go to is Walt Disney World.
My family is awesome. My mom and I are best friends, and have been since as long as I can remember. My dad and I love to watch sports together, especially the Braves, and of course, Georgia football. My brother is ten. I love that there is such a gap (ten years), because we are closer than most brothers and sisters. I know it sounds very "Brady Bunch," but we really do get along great. Finally, I have a poodle named Fluffy. She is my baby, and I love to spoil her.
Finally, here in Athens, I attend Prince Avenue Baptist Chruch, and Wesley.
